After the Open, we’re going to be hitting some solid strength work for 6 – 8 weeks. We’ll still do metcons (8-12mins of huffy-puffy) but you can definitely expect tonnes of squatting, deadlifts, s-press and perhaps even a little bench work. These are slow lifts and because we don’t want to lose the O-Lifting skills that you’ve been developing over the last 6 weeks – you can also expect to start most sessions with the fast lifts like power cleans, full cleans, jerks and lots of snatches. As always we’ll continue to develop your gymnastics skills with handstands and muscle-up tech sessions, perhaps in VOL training too.
