A quick and simple article from the Crossfit Journal on why ‘Calories in = Calories out’ is outdated

A. 12 minutes to work up to a max Power Clean and Push Jerk

B. 8 minute EMOM of:

  • 3 Push Presses at 60-70% of A.

C. For Time: ‘Helen‘ (15 min cap)

  • 3 Rounds for time of
  • 400m Run
  • 21 OH KB Swings @ 24/16kg
  • 12 Pull Ups (Ring Rows)

    A: 55kg – overhead was a little struggle
    B: 35kg – felt great
    C: RX, but I totally forgot my time… maybe 13:37, 13:47, no maybe 13:57 hmmmm finished. Although thinking back, I am pretty sure I missed a few pull up reps… 🙁 brain and body were not working as one this morning!
    Great to be back on a Monday morning though!

    A. 90kg. Happy enough with that. I’ve felt a little under my best for a while, so just getting the 90kg power clean was satisfying. And I’d have to concede that the jerk became more of a press. But hey, a 90kg press isn’t too shabby.
    B. 60kg. OK, except for the bruised collarbone from the Chief on Saturday.
    C.10:41 RX. Okay, but more than a minute off my best time. Might be to do with a little extra weight to carry on the runs….

    A- stayed light, worked on tech
    B- good
    C- modified 8.30 : 5 cal on bike, lighter kettle bell. Will def do more Cal next time
