Milko Tokola, my favourite lifter, making the hardest thing we do look easy in thongs! Don’t try this at home kids…….

A. 15 mins to hit a max Snatch

B. 8 mins to complete 3 x 4 Snatch Pull (@ 110% of A)

C. 10 mins to establish a heavy triple Overhead Squat (from the floor)

D. WOD 5 rounds for time (6 minute time cap) of:

  • 30 Double Unders (50 Singles)
  • 10 Wall Balls @ 9/6kg

    That Milko bloke is flipping awesome!
    A: 52.5kg – PB – super stoked. Almost got 54, but didn’t!
    B: 60kg – this was good, except I kept popping up on my toes.
    C: 45kg – wused out and didn’t try any higher.
    D: 5:39 – first round was great, then I snagged on double unders about 9 times in round two and three so lost time, but still good way to finish the session.

    A. 32.5kg which is a PR but I don’t think improved technique had anything to do with it. Still feels ugly.
    B. stuck at the same weight
    C. Ah the bane of my existence. Nothing like an OHS to remind you how terrible your mobility is. Just used the bar, but have lots of take-away tips from the ever-so-patient Coach Craig for the weeks ahead so fingers crossed this gets less horrible.
    D. 5:42 with DUs. Enjoyed this one.

    A: 45kg. Failed 50kg a handful of times. My brain sucks once 50kg comes along.
    B: 55kg
    C: 50kg
    D: 4:45ish

    A: 55kg x2. Failed in the bottom of squat @57.5. First time snatching in ages. Still 7kg off my pb – but happy.
    B: went lightish…45kg? these feel really odd.

    D: 4.33 (or something like that?) 2 no reps on wall balls.
    Starting to feel good and recover more quickly after my long break.

    C: only did 60kg, but bottom of the first squat my pants split
