B: 2009 CrossFit Games Chipper (30 min cap)

  • 15 reps 70/45kg BB squat clean
  • 30 Toes to bar
  • 30 Box jumps 24/20″ box
  • 15 Muscle ups (10 for the ladies)
  • 30 shoulder 2 OH w/ 20kg DBs
  • 30 Double Unders
  • 15 reps 70/45kg Thruster
  • 30 Pullups
  • 30 Burpees
  • 90m OH Walking lunge with 20/10kg plate

    Not sure I agree with our Mr Lawrence there. Perhaps not terribly well attuned to the ways of the wild things…
    And while I’m splitting hairs – in order to relay to some friends at work this morning the terrible suffering that was inflicted upon us before work, I googled the 2009 chipper. And discovered that the thrusters were done at 135 lbs (61kg – 9kg lighter than today)! So these are some heavy thrusters today. I wish I’d finished – I’d be telling people I’d done better than that Khalipa bloke.

    But I didn’t – 19 burpees for me RX.

    40kg for barbell movements.
    Not very attuned either. Had the pain face on a lot but stoked to finish just before the buzzer.
    the biggest win was the psychological one I had with the thrusters as I was scared going into them
