  • Handstand play (wall walks, holds, freestanding, walking, walking over bumpers etc)

Volume Training:

10min EMOTM – HSPUs (1-4 strict / 2-6 kipping)

  • Filler: KB Swings

WOD:

8min Tabata Mashup!

  • Box jumps
  • Push ups

    Dodgy shoulder… bad day at the box
    A. scaled to hollow rocks, but even they hurt the shoulder
    B. scaled to left arm kettle bell snatches and cleans, now I have two sore arms…
    C. Scaled to sit ups and box jumps, did 8 inch box with 10kg plate for rebound jumps. Maintained around 5 jumps and 8 sit ups

    A: good fun, tried to stay in the one spot (but struggled) and tried to walk, but can only seem to do it with my feet curled over. Couple of one arm holds too, they are always fun
    B: 2 kipping (kept it the whole way), with 10kg plates and squishy head rest thing
    C: 8 rebound box jumps (20inch) and 4 push ups… loved the box jumps even though I was a little uncoordinated a number of times!
    Great session.

    A) Hand Stand holds and attempted 1, 1 armed hold…

    C) 8 Pushups and 5 Box jumps per round.

    A. Played around with balance working towards freestanding
    B. Holds (resting my back still) + 28kg(? Orange) KB swings
    C. 5 box jumps throughout with 10 UB push-ups except for last 2 rounds which were 6 and 4.

    A. Nothing much to report. Very minor progress, if any, but happy enough.
    B. 2 strict HSPU and 10kb each round. Feel like I could have done more, but 3 would be too many. 2.5 and option?
    C. An opportunity to test an important theory of mine. First four rounds I pushed hard and got 8 box jumps each time, with some music playing that I don’t really know. Then at the start of the 5th round dear old DJ Coop put on Pearl Jam and my box jumps went up to 10 each round for the remainder, and I felt better too. So there you go – proof positive that Pearl Jam is good for performance. 25% instant improvement is better than steroids or stimulants.

    A: Handstands coming along, can often hold one for what feels like quite a while. Can only walk backwards, however…

    B: Started at 5 reps/round, down to 3 reps by the end.

    C: Just kept plugging away. Nearly left a layer of my left shin on the box at one point…

    A. Played with walks for a bit then headstand? into HSPU.
    B. 3 strict all unbroken which I was surprised. 10 KB swings @ 16kg each round.
    C. 8 box jumps, 6 push-ups. This was a little cruisy I should have worked harder.

    A: walked 4 steps, feel like I know what I need to do to walk more but too scared to commit to leaning over that but more.

    B: tried to get 3 kipping onto ab mat each round…got 0 some round and 3 unbroken on others….so inconsistent but hopefully with tips from Bec and Sean the last couple of days I am hoping I can piece them together and be more consistent.

    C: box jumps high of 8 low of 6, push ups low of 4 high of 6.

    B – Did some Pistols, getting closer, used a small box and a 10 kg plate. Did 3 each leg.
    C – 7 Box jumps and 5 push ups, pesky push ups
