Just thought I'd send out a bit of an update to let everyone know what's happening this long weekend and in the coming weeks…
Long weekends – 2 in a row – Yay!
Just in case you weren't aware both this weekend and next will be long weekends… Due to 'Family and Community Day' (Mon 27/9/10) and 'Labor Day' (Mon 4/10/10) What this means as far as training goes is the following: There will be NO Saturday morning session (@ Lennox Gardens, Yarralumla) we'll only be running Saturday afternoon's 3pm workout (@ Belconnen) for the next 2 Saturdays in a row. We're know there will be a few of our guys heading out of Canberra over the coming weekends so we thought it would be good idea to have a sleep in on Saturday… Will we be running sessions on Monday? Yes. But only the 6am session. So no Girl's session on Monday night.
Olympic Lifting clinic @ B32
If you are actually hanging back in Canberra this Saturday don't forget that Rosko from B32 CrossFit will be hosting the first in a two-part series on the Olympic Lifts @ 12pm.
Part I : The Snatch is a practical workshop that will cover:
- Warm-up/mobility specifically for Olympic lifting
- Progressions/ assistance work for the Snatch
- Snatch technique instruction
Running the workshop is B32CF Olympic lifting Coach and experienced O-lifter Jon Valentine.
COST: $20 for B32 members / $30 for non B32 members
