A: 1RM Clean and jerk @ 43kg WOO HOO!!! New PB by 3kg!!!!
B: 3 rounds plus 20 jumping squats with 15kg bar
- Am struggling to walk still and using the clutch this morning took more effort than it should!
A: 1RM of 80kg. PB with a full squat. Actually it’s a PB all round because I got this weight overhead at the lifting comp but pressed it out and have not been able to come close again until today. Yay!!!
B: After the high from the brain dolphins (what I call endorphins but we all know I’m “special”) from the first part I felt indestructable. Then I had a reality check with the WOD. 2 rounds plus 25 squats and 17 presses.
Great session!
C+J 1RM – 70kg – pressed it out first time, missed the jerk second time, then finally got a good lift (PB by 5kg). Good fun working with Andy and we both got PBs!
Metcon – 3 rounds plus 25 squats plus 20 push press (@12kg KBs) in the 12 min cap. I think this was the first time I’ve ever looked forward to the pullups part of a WOD.
1rm finally got a my elbows high enough to lift a PB and much better depth in the squat….30kg – Yay
Jerk easy at that weight, but technique for Clean is key while i’m learning….elbows, elbows, elbows
Managed 4 rounds – what a deceptively hard but awesome work out – I was spent after that!
A: 1RM clean & jerk new PB at 45kg
B: Working with pru again – OMG she has been taking lessons from Sean! Hard arse trainer!!
3 rounds plus 8 jump squats – jump squats with 15kg bar – my legs & ass are feeling it after the good mornings, can only imagine how I’ll be on Friday morning!

A: 1RM C&J @ 70kg.New PB. Rear foot position was a bit messy, but I’ll take it !
Tried 80kg twice, but couldn’t make the catch. Need to practice getting the elbows up much quicker.
B: 4 rounds plus 14 jump squats. Used 14kg KB. Feeling it in the legs now.
A: 1RM C&J@60kg (equal PB), although form and technique were not great.
B: 2 rounds and to about 11 push presses. First set of jump squats unbroken, and used 15kg dumbells in Rd1. 10kg dumbells in Rds 2 and 3. Spent 10mins after the workout trying not to hurl.
A: 1RM 40kg PR, was a bit of a mess though.
B: 15kg bar, 8kg KBs, ring rows. 2 rounds + 25 squat jumps and 3 KB push press. Could have made ring rows a bit harder
A: 60 kgs. First one huge press out. Second attempt probably wouldn’t of got three green lights but a lot better. Cleans felt solid. New PB by 5kgs.
B: 2 + 5 presses @ 12kgs.
A: 55kg Clean & Jerk
B: 2 + 15 squats: Got to about 15 squats in the 3rd round.
1st round used 15kg dumbbells but had to change down to 10kg for the next.
A. 65kg. Pressed it out a smidge on the first attempt. Felt the second attempt was legit.
B. 2 rounds and 16 jumping squats
Started Rx’d but only got 12 push press out at 24kg. Couldn’t even manage singles so finished the rest at 16kg KB.
A: 1 @ 100kg.. The clean felt really solid but need to work on the jerk! Equalled PB with this one. Failed @ the jerk on 105kg.
B: Was intense… Dunno if partnering up with Ben was the best idea… I walked out feeling like a boy that’s for sure! Made it about half way through the KB push press, third round. KB’s @ 16kg.
100 kg is solid bro!
A: 40kg (PR), failed the jerk at 42kg (but was a clean PR), probably didn’t give myself enough time to rest before attempting it, so keen to try that weight again. Got stuck for ages at 37.5kg because I kept pressing, so I stayed on it til I managed a jerk.
B: 2 rounds + 10 presses. 15kg bar for the squats and 8kg for the presses, started with the kettlebells and then moved to 8kg dumbells for the 2nd and start of the 3rd round. Did ring rows instead of pull ups. Arms were knackered from yesterday, but got further than I thought I would in the 12min cap.
A: 60kg pb by 5kgs. Tried 65 about 5 times and could not get myself under the bar for the squat clean. Getting the weight off the ground was not the problem and it felt good moving but just couldnt convince myself to get underneath it.
B: 2 rounds and 19 squat jumps using 12kg kbs. The knees definitely don’t like the squat jumps and were telling me during the first round. Had to rest lots during the squat jumps to keep the knees going.
A: i did my old 1 rm with ease @80 kg, then pb @85kg, then beat that again @90kg. attempted 92.5kg but failed both. pretty stoked with the new pb
B: 3 rounds 7 squat jumps. with 16kg KB push press. didnt RX so………..
the 16kg were hard enough and i finished the way i was ment to (sweaty and sucking air)
so it was a good WOD.
A) Got a PB @ 85kg. Finally a bit of progress.
B) 3 rounds + 7 KB Press @ 16kg.
(I don’t know how some of the guys managed 24kg on the KBs)
A) PB @ 80kg on my 3rd attempt. My split jerk needs work.
B) 4 rounds exactly @ 16kg. I was so gassed out after the first round. That was one hell of a tough workout. Was getting dizzy.
A) 90kg – failed twice @ 100kg (current PB)
B) 3 rounds @ 20kg DB’s
