A: 40Kg – had to work to get my chin over the bar.
B: 8:56 – an incredible amount of space for improvement on this.
Well I got 1 on the red band… and did a bunch of ring things….
Then did 7:16 for the run….
Splits 1:55, 1:50, 1:50 and 1:41 (if my addition is correct) so pretty happy with the consistency.
Good session. Thanks Sean
1 rep on the pink band, very close to getting an unbanded one but no dice! hoping to be able to get at least one unbanded by the end of the year.
7:40 for the run. urgh.
A: 40kg. Attempted 41kg but couldnt get my chin over.
B: 2km row instead of run. 7:08.
Hi guys! Finally on the forums.
Hand stands against the wall feel good but nearly ate the mat trying to do it free-standing. Oh well, try again.
A: 28kg for pull-up. Tried 32, got it to eye level then looked like I was getting electricuted with all the wiggling I was doing. Pull-up jiggle; it’s the new thing. Yeah!
B: 6:55 on the run…… Oh gawd!
First time back in 2 weeks, had a week off with a leg injury and then needed a week off over Mudder.
A: Handstands always fun first thing in the morning.
B: 64kg Weighted chin.
C: 6:35 Mile run, running seems to be getting a little better.
D: Set of 10 Bar muscle-ups, haven’t done these in ages was super surprised with being able to do 10 straight, thanks Pip for the words of encouragement.
A: Hit some handstands against the wall – anyone who witnessed my ‘become a pile on the floor’ effort a few weeks ago will realise how much I’ve improved.
B: 8kg max. Did a few more at 5kg and then bodyweight to build capacity
C: 6:40 – pretty happy with that.
Handstands are getting better – actually got a little bit of hang-time today.
Strapped on a 20kg appendage for the weighted pull ups which I was pretty stoked about. Thankfully, it’s very difficult to be folded in half by a weight hanging from your waist (as per yesterday’s 1RM back squat fail!) but I left feeling taller and with my knuckles nearly dragging on the ground, so all good!
1 mile run: 6:08. With a history of running, I want to get that back down to about the 5-minute mark, so it’s a work in progress, but definitely happy with the start.
B: 40kg, failed @ 48kg & 42.5kg
C: 7:45
It’s been ages since I practiced some handstands. Found that balance point once or twice. Always good fun.
A. 50.5kg. Just fell short of 53kg
B. 5.34. Wanted to keep this around the 90 second mark each lap. So was quite happy with this.
A: 12kg. Worked up from 8 to 10 to 14, failed 14 twice and dropped back to 12. Could probably have managed 13kg.
B: 6:27. Think I went out a bit easy for the first 3 laps. Managed to be consistent in the first 3 but could have pushed a bit harder. Pushed hard for the final lap especially once I made it to the bottom of the hill. The last run up hill was tough.
24 kg ,
5.33 for the run !
Handstands were lots of fun except the one without the wall support…
A: 38kg failed @ 42kg
B: 6:36 with 10kg vest thanks Scottey for the gee up
Fun night thanks Rosey for the sesh it was nice training with everyone tonight
Was I really jumping that high in yesterdays photo? I’m not sure that hasn’t been photoshopped? Felt like my feet were almost hitting that thing!
A) Held up against the wall much better than previous attempts! Form has definitely improved on these.
B) First time successfully with weights! 10kg weight vest success but failed at vest + 10kg kettle bell (20kg) and failed with just 16kg kettle bell.
C) 5:24, just over 80s avg lap. Hopefully can shave off 5 sec total in future to get the 80 sec avg.
Well done to Scott & Johnny on doing it with the vests.
A. Wrist was a little funny again when doing the handstands. Managed to just do a pull up with 5kg on my back.
B. Running is still not my friend! 7.57 happy I didn’t have to stop and walk
Had some fun with the handstands, wrists are weak though, weren’t feeling to good afterwards.
Did 2kg weighted pullup, pretty happy with that considering I hate dead hang pullups and can barely do one body weight one!
1 mile run in 6min 59 sec
(1st lap – 140, 2nd lap – 150, 3rd lap – 200, 4th lap – 129!)
Did some kipping pullup practice, can do one, now to join some together!
Didn’t mange weighted pullups, had to get the pink “emotional support band” out but had some fun with it
7:41 for the run – goal was to get under 8mins so need to up the ante next time!
