  1. A: Fun

    B: Not so fun.

Made it 26 reps into the Barbell step ups.

Subbed in ring rows. Used 40Kg bar.

    Wall walks are fun…

  2. A: Good practice, chucked in a few sets of dips too.
B: Sucked arse at wall walks, shoulder was really copping it. And found the step ups pretty hard going with a sore (tired) back from deads yesterday.

  3. A: good practice session – struggling with recruiting the core muscles :-( did some chin ups, m/ups practice and some dips.
B: 11:27 – did ring rows, almost all the way Wall walks and RX for the barbell step ups….

  4. A: Concentrated on chin ups with a band – approx 5 rounds with 6-8 reps per round

B: finished 10 secs over time cap. Wall walks with minimal hand movement, 30kg bar w/small box.

  5. A) It’s all about correct technique and unlimited failed attempts

    B) 21 step ups. Pull ups and wall walks are not a good mix! Tuff challenge.

If anyone wants gloves to wear for race I can supply them for free. They are a thin glove, rubber lined on the palms and inner fingers. I cut the finger tips off mine. The back is a cotton material. (Good for monkey bars and general grip.) They come in various sizes. S / M/ L/ XL Let me know by Friday. -Erik 0421782525 or email: erik.heineback@jgh.com.au

  6. A: 3 in a row pretty happy with this

    B: 8:23 Rx

I learnt a lot about myself and others today. What do I love about Adapt? It’s a humbling experience being in the gym training with amazing people, I love that I learn all the time, everyday something new about myself and those I train with, from the mentoring the coaches give, the enthusiasm of the Adapt community, and the daily WOD challenges we overcome.

Thanks to Adapt and the crew that make it Awesome!

  7. B. didn’t finish :( I still don’t have kipping pull ups so did ring rows. I got to 26 step ups with 30kg

  8. A) Went straight for the full muscle-up attempt… What a step up in difficulty! Almost got there but will definitly work on it, pretty stoked with the attempts.

    B) Timed out at 30 step-ups and A LOT of sweat pouring off my face. I have to break the mental barrier of wall-walks, my mind was playing some weird games with me not letting me go full chest to wall.

Excellent post above by Johnny. Been some awesome moments of reflection with Adapt, always good to leave everything else at the door and just enjoy some good company and tough work!

  9. A) I got a ways to go with these. Good to have time set aside for some practice in a more relaxed space.

    B) Timed out at 30 step ups at Rx weight but subbed down to ring rows for the pull up section.

  10. Scaled wall walks for pushups and only stepped 25 kgs.
Will have to get comfortable with scaling and not going as hard as I’d like after injuring my back few weeks ago. Positive note, am happy that I’m back doing anything at all after the initial diagnosis of 3months stand down.

  11. A: was good to practice, felt like I was starting to get more of the hang of it and was able to use less legs to get through the first half of the movement.

B: Finished in 9:30 doing ring rows and a 20kg bar. Should have gone heavier on the bar. What a tough time on the shoulders just resting the bar and keeping the arms up after the wall walks and ring rows.

Need to spend some time trying to learn kipping again.

  12. A. Well what can I say… It took the full time available to work out the technique… Gumboot much.

    B. Finished unbroken in 10:05 @20kg. Did scaled wall walk – hope to increase mobility next time and increase bar weight. Ring pulls were struggle town, thanks Bec for getting me through!

  13. A: Practiced jumping-assisted muscle ups. This was fun, will work on gradually jumping less and pulling more.

B: Rx’d – timed out at 27 step ups. Pullups were a good test of the freshly grown skin on my hands, didn’t even rip! Popped my wall-walk cherry, they were tough on the shoulders.

  14. A: i worked my kipping muscle ups. not so much the first one that gets you shoulder height, but the second kip that gets you all the way at the top

B: i did about 10 step ups @45kg, the did the last 40 @40kg. i did the full wall walk with my chest to the wall, and butterfly pullups. this one was brutal and i cant remember my time, i think it was about 11:07.

if i cant remeber my exact time i think it means this work out did what it was ment to do

  15. A) Have a long way to go before I do one of these!

    B) Scaled this to only walking my feet up the wall; will try walking the hands next time.
Did ring rows, they got hard in the last set .
Step ups with 20kg bar, on small box with 20kg plate on top.
Finished 10:05 would have been quicker but had to wait for rings on a couple of sets.

  16. Learnt the muscle up grip , need lots of work on them .
    B) first time walking walls , fun but was a bit of struggle and just finished in time 11.55. Rxd

  17. B: got to 30 step ups – very tough
