  1. Snatch practice – couple of singles at 40kg, current max.

    Metcon – 6 rounds + 5 burpees.

  2. My shoulder developed a really nice burning sensation during the warm up. Stepped out and spent the session finding and grinding out knots in my shoulders with a lacrosse ball.

    Plan is to hit it again this evening with the ball and the stick to loosen it up further.

    Just stuck to the 15kgs bar for snatch practice. Getting proper depth is my big area to improve, I’m getting better at being consistent on it.

    I used a 10kgs kettlebell for the workout. Got through three full rounds plus 10 burpees, 20 KB swings, and 12 squats.

    Riding into work was a bit of a struggle again, but at least that means I know I was putting it all out there instead of taking it too easy. My arms are so sore in the good way! :)

  4. Really tired today, wasn’t working at 100% at all. Pretty sore from yesterday too!

    Stuck to 25kg snatch and worked on technique

    Only managed 4 rounds – thanks to Pru and Nay for getting methrough the last round!

  5. Snatch – 5×30, 4×30, 5×40, 2×45, 2×45, 2×45. Happy with these, as current 1RM is 45. So doing it for reps felt good.

    Finished 5 rounds plus 1 burpee.

  6. Snatch practice – 50kg

    Finished 4 rounds of burpees & 7 x KB swings.

  7. snatch practice – just 20kg, worked on getting faster

    AMRAP – yep, leg burner is highly accurate. 4 rounds + 3 burpees, with 16kg KB, hooray.

  8. Managed keep form at 40kgs. Only 2.5kgs off current PB.
    5 squats off six rounds.

  9. Worked on light snatch technique (Back was tight from yesterday’s WOD – I did something wrong?) – 25kg with at least one decent one.

    AMRAP – 20kg KB was 2 squats off 5 rounds
    This was when I realised how much legs were burning from yesterday.

  10. Snatch practice @ 45 kg – felt OK.
    AMRAP – 5 rounds (with good leg burn)

  11. A. 30kg’s. Trying to get these right. Don’t think I am succeeding though. Shoulder has been sore all day. Will be rolling out tonight and making use of rest day tomorrow.

    B. 5 rounds 10 burpees

  12. Finally worked on some practice. I really like this oly lift definitely my favorite. Practiced with Benny. Concentrating on quick fast movement, snapping under the bar and getting the squat low. And holds my core tight the whole time.

    B: 6 rnds + 1 KB

  13. A: 25kg, managed to hit the bar on my knees a couples of times so need to keep my lower legs more vertical. Was the first time that I have snatched from the ground with plates, much different to starting above the knees. Still need heaps more practice.

    B: Not sure how many rounds… was either 4 or 5 full rounds and 3 burpees. My knees were hurting after the last few days of punishment and was focussed on just trying to make it through the squats and forgot to count the rounds.
