Results from the CrossFit Games are up. Rich Froning and Iceland Annie go back to back and take out this years games. Big props to Chad Mackay for repping the Aussie’s with a 9th place finish.

    A. 47kg. Got 50kg overhead, but didn’t catch it in the squat position

    B. Sat this one out as first rep tweaked my shoulder

    C. 14 rounds, 6 swings. 24kg KB

    A: Worked with the bar a bit, still getting use to the movements but worked up to 27k.

    B: 3 x 37kg (Feeling it after Saturday)

    C: 20kg KB, 15 rounds + 7 swings

  4. A: 60kg – wasn’t moving very well today

    B: 85kg x 2 – PB but ran out of time to get a third set done

    Kept both of the strength portions pretty light today as I had a flare up of my lower back/SI end of last week so just taking it easy for a couple of days.

    C: 14 rounds + 2 swings with 16kg. Enjoyed this one!

    B: 2×5 @ 42kgs ran out of time and should have upped the weight a little.

    25 unbroken pull ups -> up by 5 from last week

    Thanks Ben and Pip for the coaching this morning, learning to focus on slowing the push press movement from mashing into a jerk and opening my hips more aggressively in the hang snatch

    A: Still hovering around the 40kg mark but was happier with the lifts today.

    B: Was pushing more than I thought I could 40kg so will try moving it up next time.

    C: 12 + 3 KB swings @ 20kg

    A: 50kg, went for 55kg, got it over head but it was more a hang power snatch then a hang snatch.

    B: i got 1 set of 5 @60kg, but the other 2 sets had push jerks in it.

    C: 16 rounds 4 situps.

  19. A: 25kg – First time shoulder hasn’t subluxated when doing this. Sticking to this weight for a while.
