  1. A) 4 @ 40 & last 6 @ 45

    B) 70kg @ 6 reps to maintain strict form

    C) 7:07 @70kg. (Very slow)

  2. A: 20kg, cracked out a perfect one on the last round. Ben picked up on a bad habit I have of jumping back slightly on the catch – gotta try and fix this!

B: 25kg, only did sets of 4-6 reps at a time, losing the bar to grip strength and lack of hamstrings probably. Weirdly triceps were fatiguing during this?! (I think just from holding the bar? Who knows..) Going to come in to a few open gym sessions in the coming weeks to work on this movement.

C: 7:30 @ 27.5kg, thanks Ben for encouraging me to go a bit heavier than I had initially thought I’d be able to do! Felt like it was sufficiently hard, first time cleaning this weight, had been stuck on 25kg for quite some time and I think that had been my 1 or 2RM, so very happy to crack out multiple reps at this weight. Failed a few and was doing singles by the second round, but overall pretty happy. Again had the tendency to jump backwards to catch the bar instead of just shrugging it – something I will focus on correcting.

    Great session!

  3. A) @ 45kg (80% of current 1RM) – a couple of ugly ones but on the whole pretty happy

    B) @ 70kg

    C) 5:23 Rx’d

    C: 5:58 @ 60

  5. A. 25kg should have gone 30kg
    B. 45kg
    C. Went heavy for me 45kg finished at 11.27 kept going over time. Happy with this considering 50kg is my max.
